First Post! Flip Off Friday
For this, my first post on my "everything that's not food" blog, I am happy to be participating in Friday Flip Offs, where bloggers the world 'round can get together to express just how many people/situations in their life need a good flip off before the weekend starts. It's a cleansing, therapeutic exercise, one in which I have not yet participated. So let's begin...
(Oh, in case you were wondering...I clearly have not had time yet to fancy the blog up, so please be patient with its bareness! Thanks!)
To our lovely receptionist, who ruined a surprise bridal shower by sending the reminder email to everyone in the company including the bride-to-be, Flip Off! Seriously, it's not that difficult to remove someone's name from an email list. All you had to do was forward the last email that was sent out regarding the shower...the day before! Hello! Seriously, if you're going to keep reminding everyone that "I've been here for 26 years!", act like it. And come to work on time once in a blue moon so the rest of us don't have to cover for you. Thanks. Oh, and Flip Off, once again.
To my digestive system in general, Flip Off! I get it, there's something wrong with you. Can you just give me some peace between now and our appointment with the doctor? Please?
Here's a preemptive one because it happens every day so why should today be any different: To the people who will surely get in my way as I race from one train to the other this afternoon, Flip Off! Is it really so difficult to keep moving once you've started? I know we're in a mall and I know there are distractions all around. I for one have been fighting the battle against Cinnabon ever since I moved and my commute changed (so far I'm winning, but one day I just know it'll break me down), so I know how hard it is when your focus is shifting around. But if you must stop walking, don't just stop dead in the middle of the flow of traffic. Move to the side. It's called common sense. Otherwise don't get mad at me for bumping into you. Oh, and that stroller you're pushing is not a battering ram. Just an FYI.
Whew! I feel better now!
Thanks to Alicia at Project Alicia and Gigi at Kludgy Mom for giving me the opportunity to vent a bit. :-)
